The preparation of a Business Case should be a tool for rapid and effective decision making, but too often, unnecessary complexity becomes a barrier to implementing positive change. Seagry has significant experience of supporting NHS organisations to develop and prepare Business Cases for a wide range of purposes, including capital and revenue investments, mergers and acquisitions, clinical services change and corporate shared services.

Our services include the following:

• Early stage support to design the Business Case programme of work, including the appropriate format for the Business Case

• Identification of options, and development of financial and non-financial evaluation methodologies for assessing those options

• Planning and facilitation of workshops with appropriate stakeholders to apply evaluation methodologies in order to identify a short list of options or a Preferred Option

• Preparation of all relevant documents, including the Business Case, relevant appendices and supporting financial evaluation work books

• Support with navigating the approvals processes, including supporting engaging with NHSE regional and national teams, and the Cabinet Office Controls process
